Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County educators are growing our residents’ agricultural literacy, highlighting the relationship between agriculture and the environment, food and fiber production, energy, healthy lifestyles, the economy and technology. With our community members, we are building a pipeline to thriving careers through programs such as Landscape Technicians, Agritourism Training for growers, and NY Agriculture in the Classroom for children and teens. Blocks in Bloom, Seed to Supper and urban-focused 4-H clubs are deepening connections between traditional agriculture and our county’s cities.

These efforts are ensuring Monroe County continues to lead in our region’s agriculture sustainability and economic vitality.
