This class is open to the beekeepers-enthusiasts from beginners to the more experienced. In the 5 classes & 1 field trip (Sat, Jan 6 – Sat, May 5, 2018) the participants will learn the art of making their bee colony resilient and productive. The workshop will discus the new equipment, hive products, colony management, pest & disease prevention and preparation for the winter. The last session focuses on honey harvesting techniques. The "Keeping Honey Bees” (Sanford/Bonney) text included in the class fee can be used as future tool and reference.
