The Arts for Arbor Day Contest is conducted by the Greater Rochester Arbor Day Committee whose members include representatives from: Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County 4-H Youth Development, City of Rochester, Monroe County Parks Department and Genesee Finger Lakes Nursery Landscape Association.

Prepare a song, poem, or skit about trees for the ceremony
Art and Writing Contest entries are due by Friday, April 16th.
Open to youth in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Any art media may be used in creating the poster. Recognition will be given to students for the most creative, educational, hand drawn entries in each grade. A creative writing piece can include any writing style. Artists and writers are encouraged to visually portray a theme such as the role trees play in our parks or what meaning trees convey to them.
