4-H Japanese Children's Day Workshop
- Thursday, June 16, 2022, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Join Monroe County 4-H Educator Jessica Reid who
lived and worked in Japan for eight years for this
cultural workshop. Learn about Japanese culture,
including common Japanese children’s games and
foods. Explore the traditions behind Japanese Children’s
Day while completing hands-on projects. Participants
will also learn how to make their own “makizushi” sushi
rolls to enjoy. Bring a container to bring home any
leftover sushi!
This workshop has a $5 supply fee.
Suitable for ages 5 to 19. Youth ages 5 to 7 will benefit
from adult support.
