Soil is a precious commodity! The world supply is limited so we have to take a good care of what's left. A healthy soil allows for a good water infiltration and retention, the plant root support, nutrient content & circulation. Our demonstration contains soil samples from rock-hard clay, fluid sand to delicious compost, including the microscopic observation. You will lean about the research on 'no-till' practices for a healthy soil food web & abundant crop.
This event is a combination of Agriculture and 4H programing. Come and learn about opportunities that are available to Monroe County youth through these programs.
