Four Seasons Farm Tours 2020 - WINTER

Exploring local agriculture isn't always as easy as it seems. It is true that, while the people drive around the country side, they might notice crop growing in the fields, cattle grazing in the pastures or a barn standing alongside of the road. But this brief look doesn't reveal what it takes to grow our food. 

The Four Seasons Farm Tours series, featuring 4 different farms at 4 different seasons of the year, are designed to held bring local agriculture closer to the public. Participants will have an opportunity to see, touch and taste the farm produce, meet the farmers and food producers and learn from them about the methods and technologies used to grow our food during this FREE farm event.

WINTER - the fist part of the series, is held at Schutt's Apple Mill. 

Fun activities will be: 

  • Face painting
  • Indoor Games
  • Tractor to climb on
  • Open cider room and apple packing house
  • Sweet cider and fresh apple tasting
  • Tap room for hard cider making info and purchase
  • Master Gardener Volunteers and 4H members hands-on demonstrations 
  • APPLE QUIZ - play the quiz and win the prize. You can receive 10% discount on your farm store purchase and be entered in to the drawing for $15 gift card for completed quiz sheet.

Apple cider at Schutt's Farm, one of the farm's staple product,  has been made the same way for the past four generations. A special filtration process makes the cider crystal clear and a UV cold pasteurization safe for all to drink. Come and try some!
