Exploring local agriculture isn't always as easy as it seems. It is true that, while the people drive around the country side, they might notice crop growing in the fields, cattle grazing in the pastures or a barn standing alongside of the road. But this brief look doesn't reveal what it takes to grow our food.
The Four Seasons Farm Tours series, featuring 4 different farms at 4 different seasons of the year, are designed to held bring local agriculture closer to the public. Participants will have an opportunity to see, touch and taste the farm produce, meet the farmers and food producers and learn from them about the methods and technologies used to grow our food during this FREE farm event.
WINTER - the fist part of the series, is held at Schutt's Apple Mill.
