4-H Mighty Monday: CHOCOLATE CREATIONS

Drinks, powders, cakes, ice cream, fudge, candy bars, one taste in so many products. What is your favorite way to eat chocolate? 

Join Monroe County 4-H to explore the history of chocolate and its many uses. We will travel the journey of chocolate from bean to bar and make two yummy chocolate-inspired treats together. 

To participate in the hands-on activities at home, families will need:

Chocolate Lava Cake (makes 1 mug cake):

• Microwave-safe mug
• Mixing bowl
• 1/4 cup flour
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• Pinch of salt
• 1 egg
• 3 tablespoons milk
• 3 tablespoons melted butter
• 1 tablespoon water
• 1 oz chocolate chips

Hot Chocolate Mix:

• mixing bowl
• sealed container or bag for storage
• 3 cups powdered sugar
• 2 cups instant chocolate milk mix
• 1 ½ cups instant dry milk
• 1 large box (4.6 ounces) instant chocolate pudding mix

This program is FREE and will be delivered via Zoom. Register by Friday, February 5. 4-H membership is not required.
