Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) creates a close link between a farm and its customers. By joining in, the members support a local farm through an upfront financial commitment to buy its produce. The money goes directly to farmers, providing them with an infusion of crucial cash needed for the new season's investment i.e. purchase of new seeds, equipment or technology upgrades. In turn, the members receive fresh, locally grown foods. This model benefits farmers, customers and communities as the money is being spent locally.
