Monroe County 4-H resources for volunteers

Volunteer with 4-H!

Why volunteer with 4-H?

At 4-H, we believe that every young person has a spark that can be ignited with the support of a kind and caring adult. We will work with you as a volunteer and accommodate your schedule so that you can support the development of youth in your community in whatever way you can.

-

What will you do?

Volunteers can engage with 4-H in many different ways. From leading your own club to offering administrative support, volunteers always make a difference where they can.

Ÿ  Become a club leader

Ÿ  Volunteer for Special or One-time Events

Ÿ  Present special interest demonstrations at schools or clubs

Ÿ  Help in schools or after school

Ÿ  Office/administrative support

Ÿ  Social Media/Public Communications

Ÿ  Be a Teen/Young Adult Leader

Ÿ  Chaperone/advise a trip

Ÿ  Evaluate 4-H exhibits

-

In addition, those who volunteer to work directly with youth will be asked to consent to a criminal background screening and/or motor vehicle record at Cooperative Extension's expense, as a means of ensuring the safety and security both of our volunteers and of the people we serve through our programs.
