Raspberries and
blackberries, also called ‘brambles, are perhaps the most diverse group of
cultivated fruits in the world. Hundreds of species grown through-out northern
temperate regions provides homeowners with a wide selection of
sweet, juicy and healthy fruit.
Homegrown berries are far more flavorful than
the store-bought due to their freshness and high sugar content. In this workshop, participants will learn about different varieties to fit their liking, site
preparation and general care from planting to harvest. Tips on telling the difference between raspberries and blackberries when you pick the
fruit will be included.
Packed with vitamins and minerals, both blackberries and raspberries are a great snacks for adults and children alike. This workshop will cover:
