Interested in urban gardening? Join the Urban Agriculture Working Group on September 17th for our first ever Annual Urban Gardens Day! It will be a day filled with garden tours, demonstrations, and homemade meals created from locally grown produce. This is a family friendly event, with activities for all ages! Aerial Springs Garden: - Google Lens flower species scavenger hunt - Build solar fountain - Harvest wildflower seeds - Puzzles and crafts (making bird feeders, wood burning signs) - Streamers, dancing, hula hoops and aerial lyra performances
Wide Water Gardens: - Introduction to bee keeping
First Universalist Church: - Rochester Area Interfaith Climate Action (RAICA) table on connections between gardens, climate action and climate justice
Gandhi Institute Community Garden: - Treasure Hunt and games in the Labyrinth
53 Brayer St Garden: - Garden naming ceremony - Community harvest (free to take home as much produce as you would like) - Cookout in the garden
