Rachel is joining CCE Monroe’s Horticulture Team after serving with the Monroe County 4-H Team as Urban Youth Development Educator for over a year. She grew up on her ancestral family homestead in Afton, NY, Chenango County, where she cultivated a curiosity and love for art and the outdoors. A SUNY New Paltz alumni, Rachel carries her schooling in Art Education through all facets of life, sharing the joy and wonders of staying active with one’s hands in every field she finds herself in. Prior to joining the CCE Monroe Team, Rachel worked as the team leader, events organizer, and a farm worker at a local CSA, Wild Hill Farm, for four growing seasons. She moved to Rochester in 2014 and has stayed in the region since, falling in love with the communities, opportunities, environments, and history of the region. She now resides in Ontario County.
Rachel is committed to being a lifelong learner. She enjoys watching her cats Sage and Spruce bake biscuits, time spent outside, drawing funny little portraits and reading.
