Regina Clinton is an Extension Associate specializing in Community Integrated Pest Management (IPM). In this role, she conducts outreach and education to communities, and research on pest control measures that minimize environmental, health, and economic risk. Regina collaborates with stakeholders throughout New York State to develop and implement effective IPM strategies in the home, landscape and urban agriculture settings.
Regina holds a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a focus on plant and environmental sciences, along with an Associate’s degree in Agricultural Business. Regina’s journey into IPM began in the commercial vegetable industry, where she spent seven years implementing sustainable pest management practices. After this, she devoted several years to raising her two children and volunteering in her community. Regina's passion for education led her to SUNY Geneseo, where she was a biology lecturer for twelve years, teaching biology and field ecology coursework. Her solid academic background, coupled with extensive hands-on experience positions her as a well-rounded expert in her field.
Outside of her professional life, Regina enjoys spending time with her family and four legged friends, gardening, kayaking and swimming. She likes to travel and lives her life with a joyful spirit. Known for her approachable and engaging teaching style, Regina has earned a reputation as an effective educator and a strong advocate for sustainable, environmentally friendly pest control methods. Regina's career reflects a blend of hands-on agricultural experience, academic rigor, and a heartfelt commitment to sustainable practices.
