This event is a continuation of “Proud Market,” established and run by The Rochester Civic Garden Center for 23 years, held on their property at Warner Castle, adjoining Highland Park. It is an event which brings in local, small vendors of plant and garden material, and local garden clubs. In 2018, when the Rochester Civic Garden Center ceased to exist, the Master Gardeners of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County took over the concept and re-named it “Market in the Park,” so as not to infringe on RCGC rights. This is a one day event held on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend.
